Overview

Trekking in Siklis is a very unique experience where you follow the ancestral trail used by the Gurung shepherds in the past which has been very well preserved to this day. Unlike many other treks in Nepal which are flooded with trekkers, Siklis trek offers one of the best “off the beaten path” experience where one can enjoy the real togetherness with nature.

Trekking in Siklis lets you submerge in the traditional lifestyle of the Nepalese in the remote areas of Annapurna region. One can hardly see any other trekkers on the trail except for the local villagers every now and again. The forest is filled with beautiful songs of birds with dense canopies of the forest which opens occasionally providing the breathtaking view of Fishtail and Annapurna range.

The Siklis trekking area is also rich in flora and fauna. During the spring season in Siklis, when the rhododendron flowers bloom, the top of the trees almost looks like red carpet from above. The unparallel view of the snow-capped mountains from the top of Tara Hill is something one will cherish forever in their heart. Siklis is one of the biggest Gurung villages in the Annapurna region and home to Gurkhas who are famous all over the world for their bravery.

Although Siklis trek has easy access, it remains unspoiled from modernization which is why it is such a unique trip offering a lifetime experience in a very short period and makes it one of the best off the beaten treks in Nepal.

Nepal Poon hill trek and city tour

For anyone considering doing a Nepal tour, we highly recommend Binoy Rai, the owner of Mystic Himalaya Trekking and Expedition. We were really impressed by the efficiency, courtesy and the caring attitude demonstrated by Binoy in handling all our questions in such an easy manner. We highly recommend them for any future travelling prospects.

EBC 2018 – Amazing

I completed the Everest Base Camp trek with my wife and two great friends in October 2018. The trip was amazing with some of the best scenery on the planet. The Nepalese people are wonderful and so welcoming to visitors. Our trip and itinerary was perfectly put together by Binoy and the team at Mystic Himalaya and the trek superbly guided by Chogyal. This was my second EBC trek organized by Binoy and we’re already planning our return in 2020 to explore the Annapurna region. I highly recommend Mystic Himalaya Trekking and look forward to my next trek with them.

Amazeballs

After my husband's 12 years of incessant nagging, I finally agreed to trek to Everest Base Camp. Having kept in contact with Binoy from his last trek 16 years ago, we had the privilege of trekking with Mystic Himalaya. The professionalism and care shown by the Mystic team was outstanding. From the moment we were picked up from the airport, to the moment we were dropped back, we were completely taken care of. Everything was so well organised, and our trekking crew, Chogyal, Pemba, Buddhi and Sujan were fantastic, every step of the way. We will definitely be back.
TryhardTravelBug,

Wonderful trip to Nepal

We recently went on a trek and tour with Mystic Himalaya Trekking. It was one of the most adventurous and fun trips we have ever been on. One of the owners and our trekking guide named Binoy was the absolute best. I can’t even begin to say how informative he was about the area and how he attended to our every need. He has his own personal crew that hauled our bags and they cooked all our meals. They were so delicious. I would recommend anyone considering going on a trek to Nepal to check them out. I can’t imagine anyone else could be better than they were. Thanks for a memorable and amazing trip.
Brad and Vicki Godfrey,

Absolutely the best Nepal Guides

My son and I had the privilege of trekking with Pranoy and Pemba in the Mustang district, and it was an amazing experience. What sets the Mystic Himalaya experience above other treks is the depth of cultural knowledge and history that the guides have to offer. In addition to breathtaking scenery, we got a fascinating look at the history, architecture, and culture of that region, presented by a guide who is articulate and very well-educated in his field. And let's talk about logistics. We managed to hit the tail end of the monsoon season and got a LOT of rain. With limited time (only one week), our Plan A was to fly to Jomsom and start trekking there. Since planes weren't flying (and didn't for 3 more days), Pranoy got us a driver. We drove for a day and were halted by a massive landslide. Pranoy came up with a new itinerary, and we got some spectacular hiking on our way to Jomsom. With each new "obstacle," Pranoy came up with a new plan and we had a superb trek. We were joking that we went through Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, etc. and were on Plan E by the end. Every bit of it was gorgeous and a lot of fun! With all of those changes, we felt safe and extremely well cared-for. Food was excellent -- supervised and sometimes prepared by Pemba. Accommodations were very comfortable and exceeded expectations. Best of all, Pranoy stayed in constant communication with locals and other guides to ensure our safety every step of the way. With this team, you are working with real professionals that have guided for National Geographic. I wouldn't trek with anyone else -- they are the best!
